Ireland V England Date Set For 20th October (24th April 2001) — The Six Nations Committee met today in London to discuss dates for the three postponed matches in the 2001 Lloyds TSB Six Nations Championship.

Due attention was given to minimise the impact on European and Domestic Rugby for season 2001 / 2002, but the primacy of International Rugby and the successful completion of the most important Rugby Competition in the Northern Hemisphere were the main consdierations.

The commercial partners, BBC and Lloyds TSB, were consulted prior to dates being finalised.

The remaining matches will be played as follows:-

Saturday 22nd September 2001 - Scotland v Ireland - Kick-off 15h00

Saturday 13th October 2001 - Wales v Ireland - Kick-off 15h00

Saturday 20th October 2001 - Ireland v England - Kick-off 15h00

In advising these dates, Allan Hosie, Chairman of the Six Nations Committee, commented:-
